ARIPO is the African Regional Industrial Property Organisation for English-speaking Africa. It is  an inter-governmental organization (IGO) that facilitates cooperation among Member States in intellectual property matters, with the objective of pooling financial and human resources and seeking technological advancement for economic, social, technological, scientific and industrial development. There are 21 member countries namely Botswana, Cape Verde, Kingdom of Eswatini, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Republic of Seychelles, Rwanda, São Tomé and Principe, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. At ARIPO we do registrar Patent, Trademark and Industrial Design. Further note that protection can alternatively be obtained on an individual basis in any of these countries via a national application in such country
